After carving his name into fashion’s hall of fame over at Louis Vuitton, designer Kim Jones has now turned his attention to creating even more fanfare at rival label Dior, as its Artistic Director. His latest collection launch comes as a collaboration with renowned travel luggage maker, Rimowa. The Dior–Rimowa partnership sees the German brand’s signature roller suitcase wrapped in the unmistakable Dior motif to ensure that stylish jetsetters will never lose sight of their luggage among the more mundane offerings.
Extending beyond travel suitcases is a range of hand clutches and cross-body cases bearing Rimowa’s signature aluminium design in more modest sizing for smaller storage.
These pieces come in a choice of colours from silver to matte black, pink and gradient blue. Some cases have gone through a unique design process that allows the Dior motif to be etched directly onto the aluminium rather than painted. This ensures that hard knocks during transit won’t ever wear away the name.
The Dior–Rimowa collection is currently on display at the Dior store on Paris’ Champs-Élysées. While they are on sale over at the pop-up store, those looking to buy online will need to get in touch with Rimowa.
