Not many car companies can lay claim to injecting a touch of bespoke suiting into their cars unless that name starts with Maserati. In its latest collaboration with iconic Italian suiting fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna, the luxury performance carmaker has unveiled the Maserati Levante Zegna Edition with a limited allocation of just seven units for Australia.
The highlight of the release underscores the craftsmanship applied to the Levante’s interior, which sees patented Pelletessuta woven leather used for the first time. The material co-developed by Ermenegildo Zegna Style Centre and Maserati features three-dimensional woven strips of leather, which creates a tactile surface and helps to restore light and texture in the cabin. This also acts as an elegant complement to the organic surface of the Levante’s dashboard, sports seats and door panels. Matching black Pieno Fiore leather interior also adds to the craftsmanship pedigree for which Maserati is renowned.
On the driving front, the Maserati Levante Zegna Edition will be based off the proven petrol V6 Levante GranSport. The main differentiator is the unique Bronzo exterior tri-coat paint and Zegna badging on its B-pillars, along with 21-inch Helios alloy wheels paired to subtle black brake callipers.
Infotainment is handled by a premium Bowers & Wilkins audio system, while driver aids include a Driver Assistance Package that benefits from autonomous braking and adaptive cruise control.
Glen Sealey, COO of Maserati Australia, says the Levante Zegna Edition is proof that attention to detail is the precursor to beautiful design.
“Through the longstanding partnership between Zegna and Maserati, we are the only automotive company to bring this groundbreaking Pelletessuta interior to market, and we’re delighted to have secured just seven of these models from such a limited global run.”
The Maserati Levante Zegna Edition will go on sale in Australia for AU$170,000. Interested parties can visit Maserati.
