As an influential global entity, Hallmark has become a retail icon, expanding beyond its traditional cards to a variety of different platforms. With 700 employees and a gross revenue of $140 million, Australia is one of Hallmarks smaller markets.
CEO of Hallmark International at Hallmark Cards Russell Parker joined the company in 2001 and worked in a variety of roles and markets before assuming his current role in January 2012. The CEO Magazine talked with Russell to discuss his experiences with Hallmark and the organisations vision for the future.
“I’ve done lots of different roles and functions, and I think that teaches you how the whole business works over time. It gives you empathy for all of the various functions and the challenges they face. When you then move into a general manager or CEO role, you are able to really understand the whole business and connect with your people across the company”.
