Probuilds 25-year-old portfolio is impressive reading. With projects across Australia and in a variety of sectors, Probuild is determined to move with market shifts and remain ahead in the competitive construction industry.
The CEO Magazine sat down with Simon Gray, Group Managing Director of Probuild, to discuss the companys record of success, its core relationships with staff and strategic partners, and the foundations he continues to lay for the future.
A key lesson that Ive learned is that its all about relationships with all the stakeholders, whether they be clients, financers, consultants, subcontractors, employees, or the unions. To be successful, youve got to really have strong relationships with all these stakeholders. Our business is all about working with others to achieve their desired outcomes.
In terms of the industry, I think its about keeping your finger on the pulse of everything thats happening in the building industry from where the opportunities are with clients to where subcontract pricing is moving. If you dont have your finger on the pulse, then youre really not going to be successful in this industry. Its a very fluid and dynamic industry, and I think thats the reason why you have to be so vigilant in terms of where its moving, where its heading, where the problems are, and where the opportunities are.
