Whether it’s going head-to-head with government or contending with harsh Aussie conditions, David Farley is a driving force for our countrys agricultural sector.
Forthright Managing Director and CEO of Australian Agricultural Company (AACo) David Farley sat down with The CEO Magazine to discuss the importance of agribusiness in Australia, not only as a provider of food and jobs but as a striving export business to our largest trade partners in South-East Asia.
“I’m 100-per-cent agriculture; agriculture has been my life. I’m the son of a businessman who owned a farm-service business. Im a past jackeroo, a past station overseer, a past station manager, and now I am CEO of Australias largest cattle company and one of Australias largest landowners. Prior to that, I was a large developer of cotton and the cotton industry in Australia, both in production and in processing. I was a large exporter of cotton from Australia and the US, running a book of about $1 billion a year”.
