Thousands of leading executives will gather to exchange insights and intelligence as well as sharing business and investment opportunities at the Asian Financial Forum.
As the premier platform in Asia for thought leadership, networking, latest fintech innovation and next-generation ideas, the event aspires to reshape world economics in 2021.
Attracting more than 5,000 global C-suite financial and business leaders, the two-day event is guaranteed to innovate and inspire every type of working professional from family offices and private equity to entrepreneurs and thought leaders.
The 14th Asian Financial Forum, of which The CEO Magazine is a proud partner, strives to meet three pillars: insights through thought leadership on topical issues; innovation with the latest solutions and next-generation ideas from financial institutions, technology firms and startups showcased; and investment where global investors are connected with project owners and entrepreneurs across all regions and sectors through one-on-one meetings, project presentations and startup pitching.
Across thought-provoking event, which will be hosted virtually on 18–19 January, a number of keynote speakers will share their visions including Dr Luc Julia, Co-Creator of Apple’s Siri; Alexis Ohanian, Co-Founder of Reddit and Founder of Seven Seven Six; and Professor Paul Romer, the 2018 Nobel Laureate for Economic Sciences.
In addition, more than 20 industry leaders will be presenting including Insurance Authority Chair Dr the Hon Moses Cheng Mo-chi; Neuberger Berman Chair and CEO George H Walker; Blackstone Chair, CEO and Co-Founder Stephen A Schwarzman; NatWest Group Chair Sir Howard Davies; and PwC Global Crypto Leader Henri Arslanian.
While the Asian Financial Forum 2021 promises to offer a wealth of economic insights, it also delves into a vast range of pandemic dialogues, thematic workshops and fireside chats.
Major points of discussion will consist of global outlooks, dialogues for tomorrow (expanding on COVID-19’s impact on industries), sustainability, innovation and technology, and entrepreneurship – including investing in the “she economy”.
Panel discussions on megatrends in asset and wealth management industry; insightful discussions on climate change risk and opportunities for insurance; exploring the future of banking, fintech, telecommunications, health care, food and agriculture; workshops focusing on fintech, cyber security, 5G and the connected economy, green finance and art and wine investment; and dialogues around a circular economy, entrepreneurship in Asia, the state of blockchain and global venture capital outlook are among some of the intriguing topics scheduled.
The investment matching session of the Asian Financial Forum, namely the Asian Financial Forum Deal Flow Matchmaking session, will also be held online. It connects sources of funds with sources of deals from around the world via one-to-one meetings based on their shared areas of interest. Over the years, more than 5,800 meetings have been arranged for more than 3,500 companies including investment project owners, startups, private equity firms, investors, high-net-worth individuals and senior professionals from intermediaries and professional services providers.
With more than 680 one-on-one matchmaking meetings, more than 420 investment projects, at least 90 institutional and startup exhibitors and 84 per cent of C-suite level and senior decision-makers in attendance last year, the Asian Financial Forum will be game-changing for the future.
