Rami is currently Chair and CEO of Arcellx, a clinical stage biotechnology company developing a novel cell therapy platform for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune disorders. Prior to Arcellx, he served as President and CEO of Nevro, a global medical device company focused on delivering innovation to improve the quality of life for patients suffering debilitating chronic pain. Across both organizations, Rami assembled high performing, diverse teams, raised US$1.5 billion in private and public financings and built transformative, multi-billion dollar companies.
Rami began his career as a design engineer and was a venture investor at Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation prior to joining Nevro. Rami earned recognition as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year, as one of the top CEOs for women and diversity and is a recipient of the Bill Campbell award by Watermark and Game Changer Award from Diversity Woman Magazine for his influence, impact and advocacy in promoting women and women’s issues.
Rami received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University School of Engineering.
