Appscore has been creating industry-leading apps for businesses since their inception at the beginning of the smartphone era. appscore.com.au
What is your favourite App?
A meditation app called Headspace that’s easy to use and follow. Just 10 minutes a day helps me to de-stress, think clearer and focus on the important things.
What was your first proper job?
I worked in a call centre for NAB. I have no shame in saying that I was an average student in university, because it was an opportunity for me to develop my character and learn many life lessons in doing things the hard way.
From there I worked my way up to working with large international corporates and also completed a post graduate degree in finance and markets.
What is your favourite website?
Ebay. I love buying things that I didn’t know I needed (I often then realise that, in fact, I didn’t really need it).
What crime would you commit if you could get away with it?
I’d love to break into Area 51 and have a sticky beak; maybe a cup of coffee with ET.
What’s your best habit?
Every night I spend 45 minutes reading. It doesn’t matter what I am doing, I always find time for it. Reading opens and educates the mind. I never used to read on a daily basis and only started it 18 months ago. It’s one of the best things I have ever done.
What the phrase or word you overuse the most?
“What did you say?” My mind is constantly thinking about creative solutions to clients’ challenges, and ways to improve Appscore. And I have a bad habit of letting my mind wander to that place if people don’t get to their point quickly.
What super-power would you like and why?
I’d love to be invisible so I could go behind the scenes to see some of the greatest entrepreneurs and business leaders in action. Wouldn’t it be great to see Elon Musk in action, be in the room with Eric Schmidt as he shares his vision, or sit in Frank Lowy’s boardroom!
What’s your signature dance move?
I’m a solid two-step, shuffle and clap dancer. I only clap because I don’t really know what else to do with my hands.
What never fails to make you laugh?
My girlfriend – she is Romanian and gets her sayings mixed up. And that’s the way the biscuit breaks!
